LCL Sea Freight
LCL sea freight combines smaller shipments in shared container space. Provide total CBM, gross weight, carton count and packing dimensions. Cargo density and acceptance conditions determine whether a manual quote is required.
When LCL makes sense
LCL shares container space between shipments and suits orders that do not require a dedicated container. When multiple suppliers deliver, use the same confirmed shipping mark and provide package counts for each batch. Check acceptance first for oversized, heavy, non-stackable or special cargo.
How to calculate packed CBM
Use external packed dimensions. For centimetres, CBM per package = length × width × height ÷ 1,000,000; multiply by quantity and add differently sized groups separately. Ten cartons measuring 50 × 40 × 40 cm total 0.8 CBM. Include pallets, wooden frames and protruding parts in the dimensions.
Dense cargo and delivery pricing
LCL pricing requires gross weight as well as volume. Check the current density rule on the homepage; dense cargo needs a manual quote. The homepage delivery policy lists the current minimum volume and eligible urban areas. Disclose other destinations, unloading restrictions and special access requirements before quotation.
Before warehouse delivery
Confirm the product category and any special cargo requirements, protect against moisture, compression and breakage, and label every package with the shipping mark. Send the packing list, total CBM and weight and check receiving hours. Discuss wooden protection and insurance conditions for fragile goods or liquids in advance.
